After Will convinces Philip to hire a former convict as the family's new handyman, valuable items begin to disappear.

The detectives must piece together partial clues to lead them to the murderer of a husband-and-wife team of psychiatrists. Jane finds herself closer to the investigation than she realizes. Also, when the Boston Police Department hosts a seminar for Medical Examiners, one of the attendees (guest star Country singer CRAIG MORGAN), offers to help Jane and Maura on their case. Meanwhile, the Rizzolis have their hands full when they discover there may be a link to a pregnant stranger they've met.

Fred wants to win a valuable birthday gift for Lamont by appearing in costume on a TV giveaway show.

Mjr. Lasley and Cpt. Huddleston watch as marines filling two transport rafts fight to reach land in a storm. The captain suggests that they call the marines back. When a huge wave capsizes the raft, they come up at shore with one of the marines dead.
