An NYPD officer troubled over mounting financial difficulties is killed by fellow police officers after taking hostages at gunpoint. The search leads the detectives to John Jay McIntyre (Guest Star Christopher McDonald) who is trying to establish that he is the illegitimate son of a famous President and is searching for the proof.
