Peter happily takes to his responsibilities as an uncle and helps prepare for Daniel's christening. He helps a representative of the Women's Institute who wants to prevent closing a local lighthouse, while also dealing with two brothers who run rival fast food trucks.

An elderly Polish man who survived a Nazi concentration camp visits Peter to seek his help after the council wants to evict him from his home. Beatrice tries to become friends with Gloria, and Peter gets an unexpected visit from Simon's girlfriend.

Peter must hide Simon, who is shocked to find that he is a father, while also dealing with a dispute at the retirement home where his aunt Auriel lives. Meanwhile, Lyle must solve the problem of an access path to a nudist beach that has offended some of the locals.

After Simon is arrested, Peter puts Lyle on the case to defend him. A pregnant woman also seeks Peter's help to put pressure on an American serviceman, who works at the local army base, claiming he is the father of her unborn baby.
