When Chris befriends Fat Mike, one of the cool kids in his neighborhood, he gets some relief from the area thugs, but their bond is quickly tested when Mike disappears with Chris' bike.

Chris' plans to attend his neighbor Lisa's big Halloween party are threatened when his mother Rochelle makes him take his younger brother and sister trick-or-treating.

Chris must endure a Saturday at the local Laundromat with Drew and Tonya in tow, but he finds his patience tested by the competitive patrons and his siblings' uncooperative behavior.

Rochelle (Tichina Arnold) decides to host a neighborhood watch meeting after Julius' (Terry Crews) truck is stolen, but her good intentions quickly turn competitive when her new neighbor, Louise (Whoopi Goldberg), thinks she'd make a better block captain than Rochelle. Meanwhile, Chris (Tyler James Williams) sets out to break his streak of bad luck with the ladies by asking out a new girl in the neighborhood, Yvette (guest star Cherelle Noyd). In sharp contrast to his older brother, Drew (Tequan Richmond) volunteers to be a crossing guard and can't keep the girls away, causing a major traffic problem.

At the neighborhood corner store, Chris claims to be the greatest "Asteroids" player in Bed Stuy, until he meets his match and has to defend his title.
