Larry Hernández

Larry Hernández was a Norteño singer, songwriter and reality star whose smash hit album "16 Narco Corridos" (2009) broke through to mainstream success. Born in Los Angeles Hernández's family moved to Culiacán, Sinaloa, Mexico when he was four years old and he grew up there. Hernández attended a music school where he joined a group of musicians who called themselves Los Amables del Norte as their drummer. As a solo artist, Hernández released the albums "Mil Noches" (2002) and "Hace un Mes" (2008) before rising to mainstream success. In 2009, Hernández released "16 Narco Corridos" (2009), an album that hetook only one day to record. The album hit the top of the Billboard charts, reaching the rank of number four on the Billboard Top Latin Albums chart and spawning three hit singles, "El Querendón y Cajetoso," "El Baleado," and "Pilotos Canabis." He followed up this massive hit with the live album "En Vivo: Desde Culiacán" (2009) which included the new track "Carita de Angel" and went on to reach number two on the Billboard Top Latin Albums chart, giving Hernández two albums in the Top Ten at the same time. In 2012, Hernández starred in the original reality TV series "Larrymania" (2012).
