Trip boards an alien cargo vessel to help repair a stasis pod, which holds a beautiful woman in suspended animation. When the woman accidentally wakes up, she reveals she's not a passenger, but a prisoner.

Dax, O'Brien, and Bashir take the Runabout Rubicon to explore a nebula, where the runabout and its contents shrink to less than 1% of their original size.

O'Brien is ordered to infiltrate the Orion Syndicate to expose a Federation informant. However, his involvement may lead to the death of his new friend.

Piper and Leo, with help from Coop's ring, must travel back in time to change the events that lead to the deaths of Piper's sisters and the manor's destruction.
