Leona Maricle

Leona Maricle was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Maricle kickstarted her acting career in various films such as the Irene Dunne comedy "Theodora Goes Wild" (1936), the musical "Comet Over Broadway" (1938) with Kay Francis and "The Lone Wolf in Paris" (1938). She also appeared in the comedy "The Mad Miss Manton" (1938) with Barbara Stanwyck. Her passion for acting continued to her roles in projects like the comedy "Beauty For the Asking" (1939) with Lucille Ball, "Judge Hardy and Son" (1939) with Lewis Stone and "Johnny Eager" (1941). Film continued to be her passion as she played roles in the comedic adaptation "This Thing Called Love" (1941) with Rosalind Russell, "Under Age" (1941) and the drama "The Hard Way" (1943) with Ida Lupino. Maricle last acted in "My Reputation" (1946). Maricle passed away in March 1988 at the age of 83.
