Lily Pons

French-born Lily Pons was a beloved actress, well-known for her memorable performances on the Hollywood movie screen. Pons's career beginnings included film roles in "I Dream Too Much" (1935) and "That Girl From Paris" (1936). She then acted in "Hitting a New High" (1937), "Carnegie Hall" (1947) and "Carnegie Hall at 100: A Place of Dreams" (PBS, 1990-91). Pons was most recently credited in "Great Moments in Opera" (PBS, 1996-97). Pons's husband was Andre Kostelanetz. Pons passed away in February 1976 at the age of 78.
