Lisa Albert

Lisa Albert began writing for TV in the mid-1980s, primarily for sitcom episodes of light fare such as "My Sister Sam," "Mr. Belvedere," "The Cosby Show," and the short-lived Mary Tyler Moore vehicle "Annie McGuire." She wrote eight episodes of "Major Dad" from 1989 through 1992 until hitting her stride in the early 1990s with several female-oriented shows. It was during that time she wrote for "Delta" (producing as well), "Murphy Brown," "Suddenly Susan," "Living Single," "Becker," and "High Society." Albert went on to produce eight episodes of the family drama "Beautiful People" (writing three) in 2006 before moving on to the writing team of "Mad Men" where she acted as producer for the first season, was bumped up to supervising producer for the second season, and became consulting producer for the third year of the show. She has also assisted in the writing of six episodes, winning two Emmys and three WGA awards for her work.
