As Team One races to track down Ed's shooter, they connect him to a drug kingpin who is using the shooter to import opium from Afghanistan. Meanwhile, Ed is rushed to the hospital for surgery at the same time as his wife is having problems delivering their baby.

Torn from his dying father's bedside, Spike joins Team One to face their largest bomb threat yet, but realizes the only way to diffuse the bomb is to get inside the dangerous mind of its creator.

An outsider is brought in to perform psychological testing on Team One, but fearing someone will be let go, they start to turn on each other. Meanwhile, Ed is shot on the way to the hospital for the birth of his child.
