Martin Brygmann

Martin Brygmann's career cannot be easily categorized: among other things, he's been an actor, composer, writer, comedian, and musician. A native of Denmark, Brygmann showed that he had a creative spark from an early age, when he began playing drums in a band with his schoolmates. In his youth, he focused on music and performed at local cafes. In the 1980s, he played the drums for numerous Danish bands, including Love Shop and Lars H.U.G. Brygmann's first significant acting role was in the short "Jorden Er Giftig." This part led to small roles in television movies, series, and more shorts. Using his musical talents, Brygmann also composed and sang songs for family movies and television shows. He expanded his talent base when he joined two sketch comedy troupes, Lex & Klatten and Brune. Both groups released popular comedic songs and Lex & Klatten even won an award at the Danish Music Awards in 1998. Brygmann composed a song for the widely popular and award-winning romantic comedy "Shake It," and earned a Robert Award (the equivalent of an Oscar in Denmark) for his efforts. In 2005, Brygmann became a regular on the family series "Jesus & Josefine" and "Jul I Valhal."
