While on a ride-along with paramedics, Carter drives the ambulance through a riot to get back to the hospital and accidentally hits a teenage boy. Jeanie is pursued by both Reggie and Dr. Baker. Lucy struggles to convince an Asian family that they should tell the grandmother that she has a fatal tumor. Hathaway decides not to leave with Ross even though she's pregnant. She also keeps her pregnancy a secret from him. Weaver treats a celebrity wrestler. A paramedic dies from a gunshot wound, and Carter thinks the bullet was meant for him. Kubby awakens from a coma and admits she stabbed herself. But Mobalage, who was tortured in his native country of Nigeria, awaits a deportation hearing for forging his visa.
While Becker is at the diner with Jake and Reggie, an odd little man named Bob enters. Referring to himself in the third person, Bob claims to be Reggie's old high school classmate. Clearly bitter, he brashly declares that he's happily married, successful and no longer needs her prom queen approval. (TV-PG)
Becker arrives at the office carrying the parking meter that ate his quarter. Later, Beckers annoying cousin, Berry, comes by the diner to deliver his taxes and immediately corners him into having dinner. Over dinner, Becker is surprised when Berry casually admits that he had an affair. Later, when Berry and his wife, Melissa, start arguing, Becker loses his patience and inadvertently slips about Berrys marital indiscretion. (TV-PG)
