Season Two Premiere. Fresh off successful campaign appearances for midterm elections, Selina sees an opportunity to expand her role, but must first curry favor with the president's icy senior strategist Kent Davison (Gary Cole). Meanwhile, the staff's personal lives have some new developments.

Selina attends a pig roast in North Carolina as part of the president's 'Listen to Rural America' initiative. Dan takes up Pilates to get face time.

On the campaign trail, Selina is annoyed by press reaction to her running mate's effortless charm and decides to attend a pancake-brunch fundraiser without any of her team on hand to help. When news arrives that a major hurricane is about to hit North Carolina, it looks like it could be good news for her image. In DC, Amy tries to adjust to her new post-White House life, and Jonah gets bizarrely ambushed at what he thinks is a job interview.

Amy, Dan, Jonah and Richard try to win the Presidency for the President. Back in D.C., Selina brings in respected Washington fixture Bob Bradley, aka 'The Eagle,' and, after nudging out Tom James on the newly created Banking Task Force, meets billionaire banker Charlie Baird. Meanwhile, Mike tries to get healthy before his baby arrives; Kent investigates Sue's age; and Amy and Dan share a charged moment.

Selina celebrates Thanksgiving in her own special way. Meanwhile, Ben and Kent manage a Thanksgiving Day crisis, deploying Tom James and VP Doyle to make statements in Selina's absence. Ben sends Dan to work for Tom James.

During a short-term suspension from work, Liz (Tina Fey) is lost without "TGS" and misses all the stress that comes with the job. In turn, she must find a way to occupy her free time. Meanwhile, when the film studio has second thoughts on releasing Jenna’s (Jane Krakowski) Janis Joplin biopic, Jack (Alec Baldwin) needs Jenna to create some promotional buzz using her celebrity status. Also stars Tracy Morgan, Jack McBrayer, Scott Adsit, Judah Friedlander and Katrina Bowden.
