A satirical episode, Paper Boi features as a guest on a talk show called Montague, being part of a discussion on the media's indictment of Black culture and its intersection with trans people. Commercial parodies play throughout the episode during the breaks of the talk show.

Another soldier in the army of evil, the Sandman, seeps into the dreams of the residents of Sleepy Hollow. By infiltrating their minds at night, he tortures them to the brink – all because they, at one time, turned a blind eye to justice. When the Sandman seemingly sets his sights on Abbie, she is forced to begin to face her past – and her institutionalized sister, Jenny. With Ichabod by her side, and her life at stake, the duo must try to defeat the Sandman and continue their fight against evil.

Despite Jim's protests, Charles needs the night off for his birthday. Jim attempts to throw him a party, but things quickly get out of hand. Tensions arise when Jim shows up at Charles' birthday dinner and meets his judgmental family.

On his quest to become a better person, Kevin helps a young couple plan their wedding. In doing so, he sees the consequences of lies – both his own and the couple's. Meanwhile, Yvette attempts to organize the other celestial beings, and Reese witnesses her uncle's strange new talents firsthand.
