The SVU teams up with federal prosecutor Connie Rubirosa (guest star Alana de la Garza) after an underage runaway is found raped and beaten under the Highline. The sex trafficking investigation leads to New Jersey strip club owner Perry Cannavaro (guest star Chaz Palminteri), who does all he can to keep the victim out of the SVU's jurisdiction. When ADA Barba (Raúl Esparza) fails to get the help he needs from Jersey law enforcement, he suspects a cover-up involving some high ranking court officials.

Danny and Jackie set out to investigate the murder of a bride on her wedding day in a drive-by shooting. However, they are pulled off the case and assigned to the protection detail of a Central American president under the threat of assassination.

Jackie, making pancakes for the girls, realizes too late that the girls aren't even home. At O'Hara's apartment, she admits that she's not adjusting well to living alone and, against O'Hara's advice, decides to call Kevin and invite him to lunch.

When their first author proves to be more trouble than she's worth, Liza and Kelsey worry their imprint might be over before it ever gets started.
