When a a staffer from Homeland Security is found at the bottom of a cliff near her wrecked car, Brenda tangles with the FBI for control of the investigation.

In the season premiere, when Brenda's squad investigates the quadruple murder of a family, she accidentally stumbles into the middle of an FBI investigation that may have been a factor in the homicide. Meanwhile, Provenza's mood suddenly turns sour. Guest star Lee Tergensen ("Oz," "Wanted") appears as Nicholas Carey and recurring guest star Stephen Martines appears as Ricardo Ramos.

Xena (Lucy Lawless), Gabrielle (Renee O’Connor), Joxer (Ted Raimi) and Amarice (Jennifer Sky) travel to the town of Spamona, where Xena is shocked to learn that she is pregnant.
