Promised Land
Russell learns that his new job no longer exists and that his troubled brother left town, abandoning a young son who becomes part of this growing family. At the urging of the locals and his family, Russell goes to New York to try and convince a successful woman doctor who grew up in Chicory Creek to return and give medical care back to those same townspeople who helped her years before. After Russell is disillusioned by the doctor's uncaring attitude and at the misfortune that has come upon him, Monica and Tess must try and restore his faith and belief, not only in others, but in himself as well.
