Michael Ryan

A native of Kansas, Michael Ryan is an actor best known for his long stint on the soap opera "Another World." Ryan began his show-business career in the 1960s, appearing as the title role of the legal drama "Ben Jerrod" in '63. The following year, he joined the cast of "Another World," playing the character of John Randolph on the daytime drama until '79. During the '80s, he was featured in small parts in major films, most notably "Body Heat" and "Tootsie," and he also appeared on the TV shows "Another Life" and "Dynasty." Later in the decade, Ryan turned up in action-oriented productions, particularly the Hollywood movie "Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins" and an episode of the TV series "Hunter." Ryan was largely inactive during the '90s with the significant exception of a '94 episode of the popular procedural drama "Law & Order," but he made more guest spots in subsequent years, appearing in episodes of "The Outer Limits" reboot, "Wolf Lake," and "Human Target," as well as playing a supporting role in the teen film "The Perfect Score."
