Mannix gets an urgent call from the police. Lt. Art Malcolm, Mannix's friend who also served with the detective during the Korean War, is being held hostage in an abandoned building. The police are unable to enter the structure, which is filled with explosive booby traps. The man behind Malcom's abduction served in the same outfit as Mannix and Malcom.
