Mike Golic

An eight-year NFL veteran and former defensive tackle, Mike Golic found a new career in broadcasting following his retirement from football. Golic was born in Willowick, Ohio. He attended the University of Notre Dame and played on the football team there, serving as captain during his senior year. Following his graduation in 1985, with a degree in finance and management, Golic was drafted by the Houston Oilers. He played for the Oilers from 1985 to 1987, for the Philadelphia Eagles from 1987 to 1992, and for the Miami Dolphins in 1993. His career stats with the NFL include 115 games played, 11.5 sacks, and three interceptions. During his time in Philadelphia, he had a weekly sports segment on "The Randall Cunningham Show," which led him to an interest in television, something that he pursued full-time after retiring from the NFL. From 2000 to 2017, he hosted "Mike & Mike" on ESPN Radio and ESPN2, alongside Mike Greenberg. Following Greenberg's departure in 2017 to host a morning show, Golic launched a new show, "Golic & Wingo," on ESPN, which debuted in November 2017 and was co-hosted by Trey Wingo.
