Fighting The Good Fight
The young boxer, Tim, and his brother live in desperate poverty in the inner city and are often mistreated by their self-centered uncle. When Tim's elder brothers becomes ill with a serious disease, Tim adopts an aggressive stance against the world in order to appear tough in the face of his brother's illness. He trains as a boxer to escape his troubles, but misuses his boxing skills by initiating a string of fights with local hoodlums that puts him on the road to ruin. Tess and Tim's idol, Muhammad Ali, is called upon to teach the confused young man that violence accomplishes nothing and that his energy should be spent strengthening familial bonds.
