The first day back at school proves to be very educational: Ben (JEREMY MILLER) learns to face fear; Carol (TRACEY GOLD) gets a strange date for the dance; and Mike (KIRK CAMERON) becomes infatuated and learns a big lesson.

Ron is forced to spend a night in a jail cell. While Ridge stresses about being in the dark regarding Caroline, he and Kristen spend some time together. Stephanie is tempted to tell Ridge what happened to Caroline. Stephanie goes over to the Logan home and comforts her.

Ridge confronts Thorne over his new job offer and Caroline. Caroline works with a police sketch artist to prepare a composite photo of the rape suspect. Ridge confides in his mother who offers sympathy but they agree that life must go on. Bill and Margo unknowingly bump into the rape suspect at the Cafe Russe.

Dave reassures Caroline that the entire police force is behind the investigation. Donna misses Rocco and asks Mark to take her dancing. Katie confides her fears in Grandma Logan who advises her that Rocco needs a second chance. Thorne and Caroline share a tender moment.

Stephanie thinks that Eric is having an affair with Brooke Logan. Throne confesses his love for Caroline to Eric. The rape suspect is unsure about how to proceed. Margo feels that Bill is making a mistake by trying to handle the rapist personally.

Caroline and Ridge meet at the office, and sparks fly. In the year end meeting, Ridge argues with Eric and Thorne over business tactics. Caroline cautions Brooke against falling for Ridge. Ridge, furious after the meeting, seduces an eager Margo. Brooke convinces Eric to talk to Beth about the biopsy.
