Nat Levine

Hollywood veteran who began his career distributing films rejected by the major studios and subsequently became a producer. Levine, usually billed as "Nat," owned Mascot Pictures, creator of many low-budget serials and features in the late 1920s and 30s. Levine merged his enterprise when he became a co-founder of Republic Pictures in 1935, and produced many B Westerns, comedies, and actioners for Republic in the years that followed.
