Nelly Furtado

Renowned for her vocal talent and clever songwriting, Nelly Furtado charmed audiences as both a musician and an entertainer. Furtado worked on a variety of projects during her early entertainment career, including "Brokedown Palace" (1999) starring Claire Danes, the Angelina Jolie and Jon Voight blockbuster "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider" (2001) and "Reverb" (HBO, 1996-2002). She also contributed to "Roswell" (WB, 1999-2002), "The 2001 World Music Awards" (ABC, 2000-01) and "VH1 Divas Live: The One and Only Aretha Franklin -- A Benefit Concert For VH1 Save the Music Foundat" (VH1, 2000-01). In the early 2000s, Furtado devoted her time to various credits, such as the Julie Andrews and Anne Hathaway blockbuster "The Princess Diaries" (2001), "The Way She Moves" (VH1, 2001-02) and "Dancing With the Stars" (ABC, 2004-). She also worked on "So You Think You Can Dance" (Fox, 2004-2015). Furtado's other music credits included "John Tucker Must Die" (2006), "Epic Movie" (2007) and "Wild Child" (2009). Furtado's music was most recently featured in the Neil Patrick Harris children's sequel "The Smurfs 2" (2013). In addition to her music, Furtado also appeared on-screen in the action movie "Max Payne" (2008) with Mark Wahlberg.
