Nikolai Nikolaeff

Australian actor Nikolai Nikolaeff graduated from juvenile roles on children's television in his native country to more mature and diverse work in Australian and American programming, including "Daredevil" (Netflix, 2015-) and "Six" (The History Channel, 2017-). Born in Melbourne, Australia, he became interested in acting through his mother, who read books to him with great emphasis on character and voice. Nikolaeff began acting at the age of 12, and within four years' time, had landed his breakout role on "Crash Zone" (Seven Network, 1999-2001), a children's drama series about teenaged game designers. From there, he worked steadily in youth-oriented Australian programming before earning his first international exposure as a teenager recruited to fight evil on "Power Rangers Jungle Fury" (ABC Kids, 2008), the sixteenth season of the long-running "Power Rangers" action franchise. A brief appearance in an episode of the WWII drama series "The Pacific" (HBO, 2010) signaled Nikolaeff's debut in more mature fare, and he followed it with the Australian action series "Sea Patrol" (Nine Network, 2007-2011) and the short-lived "Camp" (NBC, 2013), a joint American-Australian comedy which gave him a chance to play lighter material as the handyman for an eccentric day camp. In 2015, he played aspiring Russian mobster Vladimir Ranskahov on the debut season of "Daredevil," which led to guest roles on series like "Fargo" (FX, 2014-) and series regular work on "Six," which cast him as a Chechen terrorist.
