Lola and Emily find themselves on opposing sides when the key witness in a murder trial is the victim's 11-year-old daughter. Also, when Mark's key witness in a case winds up in a Vegas jail, Luke accompanies Mark on a road trip to the desert to bring the witness back to testify.

Keri goes on a trip with Stephanie. Angela helps her neighbors. Jessica deals with Yoli's problem.

In the third season premiere, Jane and Maura'’s friendship suffers following the shooting of Maura'’s biological father, gangster Paddy Doyle (guest star JOHN DOMAN - The Wire, Borgia). Jane also finds herself in the middle of an Internal Affairs investigation and her relationship with Agent Dean (recurring guest star BILLY BURKE - Twilight films) is exposed. Recurring guest stars JACQUELINE BISSET (Nip/Tuck, Joan of Arc) and ED BEGLEY JR. (St. Elsewhere, Pineapple Express) also appear.

After a petty officer is found murdered on a golf course, McGee spends hours on the victim's ham radio trying to locate a key witness. Also, Palmer asks his co-workers to donate to a charity that builds playgrounds for kids of all abilities, and Torres surprises them with his generosity.
