Richard Donat
Richard Donat break into the world of acting included roles in films like "Tomorrow Never Comes" (1978) starring Oliver Reed, the Barry Newman film "City on Fire" (1979) and "Sam Hughes' War" (1984) with Gordon Pinsent. He also appeared in the Kenneth Welsh film "Lost!" (1986). He had an early role on the television special "Cougar!" (ABC, 1983-84). He also worked in television around this time, including a part on "PSI Factor: Chronicles of the Paranormal" (1996-2001). He also starred in the TV movies "The Secret" (1991-92), "Mary Silliman's War" (Lifetime, 1993-94) and "Calm at Sunset" (CBS, 1996-97). He also had a part in the TV miniseries "The Pilot's Wife" (2001-02). He held additional roles in television including a part on "Haven" (Syfy, 2009-2015). Most recently, Donat appeared in "Hemlock Grove" (2012-). Richard Donat died on March 28, 2026 in Bridgewater, NS, Canada at the age of 84.
