Ruby Jerins

Ruby Jerins was an American actress who was best known for playing the role of teenage daughter Grace Peyton on Showtime's dark comedy "Nurse Jackie" (2009-2015). Unlike most young people who desire to make it as actors, Jerins was fortunate enough to have a mother, Alana Jerins, who worked professionally as an actress both in films and on TV. Jerins' mother instilled in her the confidence she needed in order to put her best foot forward on auditions. She landed her first job in at the age of three as a flower girl in "The Wedding" (2001), and soon went on to land guest spots on "Guiding Light" (CBS, 1952-2009) and "Kidnapped" (NBC, 2006-07). She nabbed her first recurring part in 2006 on the ABC series, "Six Degrees" (2006-07). That show, however, was cancelled after only 13 episodes. Undeterred, Jerins followed that up by landing small roles in the films "Remember Me" (2010) and "Shutter Island" (2010). Then in 2009 she landed her biggest role to date as Grace Peyton, the teenage daughter of Edie Falco's main character, on Showtime's "Nurse Jackie." Jerins appeared in all of but one of the show's 80 episodes, making her one of the series' most enduring characters. "Nurse Jackie" ended its seven-season run in the summer of 2015, but Jerins continued to land work, having appeared in the 2015 drama, "Louder Than Bombs."
