Samantha Munro

Before joining the long-running teen drama "Degrassi: The Next Generation," Canadian actress Samantha Munro performed in the Oshawa Little Theater, preparing her for the life of a young performer. In 2007 she was cast in "Degrassi" as Anya MacPherson, best friend to Holly J. and perpetual peon. In typical "Degrassi" fashion, however, Anya develops several different crutches of her own including a handful of painful relationships and a cocaine addiction. Munro followed up her four-year turn as Anya with a guest role on the SyFy series "Lost Girl" and a leading role in the made-for-TV movie "Secrets of Eden" opposite "Breaking Bad"'s Anna Gunn.
