Sarah Winter

The London-born actress made her debut with a bit part in "The Other Boleyn Girl" (2008) before dividing her time between theater in Cambridge, England and feature films. Small but more substantive roles in the independent thriller "The Butterfly Tattoo" (2009) and the fantasy "Lovelorn" (2009) soon followed, which preceded greater exposure through appearances on a pair of popular BBC TV documentary series. She played a strong-willed 18th century homeowner in "At Home with the Georgians" (BBC 2 2010), which detailed the Georgian style of home design, and suffered a terrible fate as Lady Jane Grey in "Bloody Tales of the Tower" (BBC/National Geographic Channel 2012-). The following year proved to be Winter's breakout period, with a notable turn as electronic composer Delia Derbyshire in "An Adventure in Space and Time" (BBC 2013) and a co-starring role in the pilot for "The Selection" (The CW 2013-), a futuristic drama about a group of women who are selected to compete for the affections of a prince in order to claim the title of queen. Unfortunately, the pilot, which had gone through its second iteration by the time Winter had been cast, was not picked up by the CW as a series.
