A sleazy photographer is stabbed to death with scissors in his own studio. Examination of the deceased's appointment book leads Detectives Ceretta and Logan to a local modeling agency - and more than a few disgruntled models. Claire Danes (Polish Wedding) and Murphy Guyer (The Devil's Advocate) guest star.

Briscoe (Jerry Orbach) and Curtis (Benjamin Bratt) investigate the shooting of a member of a local co-op board and suspect it's a case of mistaken identity. They go on to link the crime to a sleazy loan company, but not before another victim surfaces. ADA McCoy (Sam Waterston) is also convinced that he's got the right man, but evidence doesn't support this claim.

Allie's (Jane Curtin) nervousness grows as her wedding to Bob (Sam Freed) approaches. Dick Butkus guest stars.

Kate and Allie, hoping to reacquaint themselves with their mothers, plan a luncheon for them.

Kate throws an engagement party for Bob and Allie before Allie even accepts the proposal.
