The murder of a Petty Officer in a small town outside D.C. prompts NCIS to once again work with "The Sherlocks," a privately funded investigative team that includes their newest member, Anthony DiNozzo, Sr. (Robert Wagner). Richard Riehle returns as Walt Osorio, Jessica Walter returns as Judith McNight and Todd Louiso returns as Lyle Waznicki, all members of "The Sherlocks."

Riggs and Murtaugh investigate the death of a surfer. Meanwhile, Murtaugh grows suspicious of Trish's new friend, with whom she's been working on a charity event, and then learns it's NBA champion SCOTTIE PIPPEN (guest starring as himself). Also, Riggs has violent nightmares that bring up scars from his childhood.
