When actor Grady Bridges (Colin Hanks - "Orange County," "Roswell") invites Summer and Marissa to his birthday party, the girls take Ryan and Seth to Los Angeles to join in the festivities. At the party, Summer is thrilled to spend time with Grady, but Seth is not as happy. The situation is reversed when Seth meets sexy Kate (Paris Hilton - "The Simple Life"), and it's Summer's turn to be jealous. Afterwards, the gang heads back to Orange County, where Ryan has a hard time keeping Luke and Julie's affair a secret from Marissa.

Monk, Sharona, Captain Stottlemeyer, and Lieutenant Disher arrive in New York City to pursue a lead in the murder case of Monk's wife, Trudy. Dale the Whale has given them the name of a man that was involved: Warrick Tennyson. But before they can even check into their hotel rooms, Monk becomes a witness in the shooting death of the Latvian Ambassador to the United States. Unfortunately, Monk only gets a glimpse of the killer's left ear as he flees the scene of the crime.

Bullock and Gordon try to track down someone who is key in Sofia’s control over Gotham. Meanwhile, Penguin, Lee and Nygma enlist an unlikely ally as they seek revenge, and Selina asks Bruce for a favor to help rid her of her guilt over Ivy.

While Gordon tries to broker a deal with Penguin that involves Sophia, Lee Thompkins gains more control over the Narrows.

Ivy picks her next target, leading Gordon and Lucius back to an old friend, as Selina tries to take matters into her own hands. Sofia wants full control of Gotham and turns to Lee about the state of the Narrows. Meanwhile, Bruce tries to make amends with Alfred; and Nygma visits Arkham.
