After a former officer waits on Frank at a restaurant, he feels guilty about the circumstances surrounding why she was fired, and he tries to reinstate her. Also, Danny and Baez investigate the murder of a star college basketball player linked to sports betting, Erin seeks justice in an apparent DUI, and Jamie and Eddie pick a wedding venue.

Liz (Tina Fey) realizes that she needs to take control of her personal life by fixing up her dream apartment, but she encounters an obstacle along the way. Meanwhile, Jack (Alec Baldwin) has his own problems to deal with when Avery (guest star Elizabeth Banks) is held hostage. Elsewhere, Tracy (Tracy Morgan) finds out that Kenneth (Jack McBrayer), Dotcom (Kevin Brown) and Grizz (Grizz Chapman) have bonded in his absence.

A flashback to the past shows Kevin fighting his bad habits, while Laurie receives unexpected news. Moreover, Nora has a job interview and Kevin's father receives recognition.

Wendy (Brooke Shields) sets her sight on a film that takes place in India that she feels is a great film, but does not present itself to be a big money generator. Wendy decides to host an extravagant premiere party and gives Victory (Lindsay Price) a chance to design for the star actress. Meanwhile, drama begins to unfold as Nico (Kim Raver) reveals to Wendy and Victory about her secret affair with Kirby (Robert Buckley). The lawsuit heats up when Kirby decides that he wants to see it to the end. Nico is faced with a tough decision that could be her only potential way of keeping her life together, but at what expense?
