Lilly and the team reopen the 1989 murder case of a young Russian opera singer who defected with her family to the United States before the Berlin Wall came down. Vera remembers the case well -- at the time, he was a rookie at the police station where the family sought political asylum.

Becker has an extra ticket to Chicago and Reggie decides to go. They end up stuck in the plane for two days. Bob and Jake have the diner to themselves and decide to make a little money with it while Reggie is gone.
