Travis McElroy

Popular and prolific podcaster Travis McElroy began his career alongside siblings Justin and Griffin in "My Brother, My Brother and Me" before branching out into shows based on everything from doomsday prepping to etiquette. Born in Huntington, WV, McElroy studied acting at the University of Oklahoma, but moved behind the scenes after graduating when he took a Technical Director job at the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company. In 2010, he and his two siblings began working on "My Brother, My Brother and Me," a comedy advice podcast in which the trio answer questions sent in by listeners or found on the Yahoo! Answers website. A year later the show was picked up by the Maximum Fun network where its popularity continued to grow, regularly appearing in iTunes' Top 10 comedy podcasts. The show proved to be so successful that McElroy was able to give up his day job in 2014 and concentrate on podcasting full-time. As well as continuing to work with his brothers on their hit show and their radio personality father Clint on Dungeons and Dragons-based "The Adventure Zone," McElroy also created several podcasts of his own. These included "Bunker Buddies," a doomsday prepping comedy co-hosted with Andie Bolt; "Shmanners," a podcast based on manners recorded with wife Teresa; and "Trends Like These," a current affairs show also featuring musician Brent Black. After adding the likes of "Surprisingly Nice with Hal Lablin," "Interrobang" and "Til Death Do Us Blart" to his portfolio, McElroy then moved into other areas with his brothers, adapting "The Adventure Zone" into a graphic novel and recording a six-part televised version of "My Brother, My Brother and Me" (Seeso, 2017-) to critical acclaim.
