J.D.'s patient is 86 year old Mrs. Tanner, who is in renal failure. 20 year old David Morrison is Turk's hernia patient and Elliot's patient Mrs. Guerrero only speaks Spanish and might have lupus.

Kelly invites Tara to move into the beach house until she can find permanent housing after rehab. Clare and Donna reluctantly agree. Steve's fraternity throws a party at the Walsh house.

At a reunion party at the Beverly Hills Beach Club, Clare is stunned after she learns of Steve's past relationship with Kelly, who learns there's more to the story than she knew.

Clare returns after a few days out of town and the gang flashes back to fill her in on the events that transpired over New Year's.
