The team investigates a serial killer who is targeting women at a small college in Flagstaff, Arizona. The BAU shuts down the campus, creates a detailed profile of the unsub, and arrests a suspect. However, the team members begin to have doubts about themselves when another woman is killed while the suspect is in custody.

After a series of suspicious murders occur, Prentiss suspects her old Interpol nemesis, making her fear for the safety of her BAU team as he closes in on her.

A new group of medical students arrives to learn the ropes at Sacred Heart Hospital, where J.D., Turk, Kelso, and acerbic Dr. Cox are the instructors. J.D. continues to romance Elliot as he imparts wisdom to a new class, which includes Lucy, Drew, Cole and Maya.

Dr. Cox recounts his day at the hospital to his son through an imaginative fairy tale.

Kim goes into labor, and J.D. struggles to decide if he should tell her what he really thinks of their relationship.

J.D's brother Dan returns and delivers a few home truths to his little brother.
