
Chris Tomlin
Contemporary Christian musician Chris Tomlin was born in Texas. He began writing worship songs at 14 and was active in church music ministries through college. In 1995, Tomlin released the album "Inside Your Love," without the backing of a record label. After a couple more independent releases, Tomlin landed a commercial deal with sixstepsrecords and released "The Noise We Make" in 2001, "Not to Us" in 2002 and more. 2005 brought Tomlin his first GMA Dove Award for "Arriving" in the Praise and Worship Album of the Year category. Some of Tomlin's achievements include the sale of over 12 million albums, being nominated for 11 Grammy Awards, winning a Grammy for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album for "And If Our God Is For Us) in 2012 and having his music featured in soundtracks "Grace Unplugged" (2013) and "Pentatonix: Christmas Under the Stars" (2021).
