Marvel's Runaways

As the Runaways try to survive on the streets, a homeless man steals the Fistigons. Graciela threatens PRIDE on the news, but the kids get to her house too late; Tina has already killed her. Alex helps Darius finish his new nursery, where he connects with his niece Livvie. Jonah makes Frank the face of the Church and tells Victor that he needs another box. PRIDE resolves to kill Jonah. The kids chase the thief into Griffith Park, finding an abandoned mansion instead. Jonah meets with Karolina when an earthquake rumbles to life.

Karolina bonds with Jonah, who reveals to Janet that Victor is alive- she resolves to save him. Nico, Karolina and Molly break into the Minoru house to retrieve the Staff. Tina fights them at first, but she and Robert let them go. Karolina begins to hear mysterious voices. Alex and Livvie kiss. After Chase finds an old car in the house, he tries to turn the power on and two DWP workers arrive. Old Lace scares them off. Molly sneaks out alone to fight some crime. Meanwhile, Darius calls Geoffrey with an offer about Alex.

Darius schools Alex in the street life and he falls hard for Livvie. Leslie, torn between Frank and Jonah, is tasked with retrieving the latter’s DNA from the Yorkeses. Darius brings Alex back to Geoffrey after making a deal, but they’re intercepted by the rest of the kids. Janet decodes the Abstract, giving her a wealth of information on Jonah’s extraterrestrial origins. Catherine kills Darius. Molly is busted by the other kids after sneaking out to snoop around the dig site, but someone follows her home- a mysterious street kid.

Topher reveals his super strength and tries to earn the Runaways’ trust, which Molly eagerly gives. The Yorkes take a biopsy of whatever’s in the bottom of the hole, but when they inject their serum into it, it triggers an earthquake. Topher helps the kids break into Atlas Academy, but the earthquake triggers an alarm, leading the parents to the school. While the kids escape, they also discover that Topher’s powers come from an unidentified substance. Jonah’s body continues to break down as he leads Karolina into the hole.

Things are growing even more complicated for the Runaways as their latest acquaintance, Topher, draws them into his world. While many of the Runaways are beginning to trust their new friend in the aftermath of 204, others are still skeptical. Plus he has this weird rock obsession, which only makes him more of a wild card in Nico’s eyes. But when the kids discover that Topher may be more dangerous than they could have imagined, will they help him or will they turn their backs on their new friend?

PRIDE grapples with the moral implications of Jonah’s latest offer: freedom. And Jonah, weakening, begins to eye his next target. In the aftermath of Topher, the Runaways are more splintered and broken than ever. But after learning from a parent that Jonah is after another sacrifice, the Runaways realize they have to work as a team to stop him before he kills another kid.
