On the 10-year anniversary of his wife's death, a man finds a briefcase on her grave containing a crime scene photo and a newspaper clipping, prophesying his murder.

J.T. awakes to another unsettling development when he sees that his loaner car matches to the vehicle in the case file. Unnerved, he discusses the list of suspects with Detective Sikorski and enlists friends and family to help analyze the evidence from the briefcase. Noticing that the clipping reports a fatal storm that very day, J.T. sets out to save the purported victim from a falling tree.

J.T.'s friends report that, somehow, the briefcase and its contents appear to be from the future. Even worse, Roy Bremmer shows up to threaten J.T. and his family.

With one more day until his predicted death, J.T. plans to remove every suspect's motive and opportunity to kill him. But not all eventualities can be anticipated.

As all the suspects converge, can J.T. avert his fate in the last moments before he's scheduled to die? Or was the message from the future meant to lead him to his doom?
