A Home Away

Harrison House is a 130-year-old Victorian bed and breakfast that Bryan and Catherine are converting into a boutique hotel. The plan is for a quick renovation, but they soon find out that they're in for the biggest challenge of their lives.

After shutting down the project for over a year, Bryan and Catherine restart their Harrison House project. But the long layoff and unforeseen problems with the renovation mean big dollars. They restart their work focused on the entryway and parlor.

Bryan and Catherine have big plans for the lounge and powder room. But as HVAC and fire safety costs mount, they don't know if they’ll have enough money to finish the way they want to.

When they bought Harrison House, Bryan and Catherine made two big changes to the building’s footprint -- a sunroom and a back addition for a second staircase. Both spaces have a lot of potential, but they have very different design plans.

After more than two years, Bryan and Catherine can see the finish line. But they must settle on the exterior finishes so they can show off the house to the artisans and friends who helped bring the vision to life. It’s a race to the celebratory reveal.
