Julian begins his exploration of the Philippines in its capital Manila, where he is a guest on the country's top TV show, Eat Bulaga. He then takes a ride in a giant shoe car, tries the Filipino delicacy balut and recovers on Boracay's white-sand beach.
In Malaysia, Julian hits the Kuala Lumpur streets at night and provokes a motorcycle gang. On Borneo, he looks for orangutans and visits the 'Cat City.' Finally, he judges a children's sandcastle competition and makes a fool of himself at a playground.
Julian starts his Vietnam visit in Ho Chi Minh City, where he discovers the scooter is king. He visits the tunnels where North Vietnamese soldiers lived, samples banned durian fruit, tastes wine imbued with snakes and hears tales from the Vietnam War.

Heading to the economic powerhouse of China, Julian finds a country in transition. He indulges in some local delicacies in Beijing, hikes on the Great Wall, views the Terracotta Warriors in Xi'an and finds himself a hit at Love Square in Shanghai.
