Layla Ashley has become the representative for Serena City, Mars. She wanders around speaking only few words and taunting people to try to kill her. One day, a Barbaroi named Garcia arrives at the city and finds Nei, amongst the discarded dolls.

Layla and Nei begin their journey together traveling out of the city. Mr. Speedy, a doll breeder, joins them in their journey. Almost out of the city, they stop for the night only to be surrounded by dolls.

Layla continues her journey and enters a city where her presence is unwelcomed. Mr. Speedy starts to become suspicious, but Layla won't speak a single word.

Layla, Nei, and Mr. Speedy continue along and witness a complete disregard for a doll. With children no longer being born on Mars, dolls have taken their place. The adults treat dolls as toys that get discarded when they grow tired of them.

On their journey, they enter Jupiter City, governed by Jupiter, one of the Original Dozen. As soon as they enter, they encounter government officials.

The three enter a very desolate city with some of its inhabitants sleeping on the roadside. Dolls cloaked in black are asking around if anyone has seen Layla, Nei, or Mr. Speedy. One citizen emerges to help the three, but Mr. Speedy is suspicious.
