In a resort town where tourists and bears collide, it's up to the Bear Whisperer to keep the peace. Journey to Mammoth Lakes, California, a community in a unique situation, as summer tourists arrive and so do black bears, fresh from hibernation and anxious to pack on pounds

The biggest of the black bears are rumbling into town. These big bears are non-stop eating machines who command the best habitats, the best feeding areas, and the respect of lesser bears, but even they must respect the one man in town who stands up to them: the Bear Whisperer, Steve Searles.

Three young bears show up in the town of Mammoth Lakes. The bears are the pre-teens of the bear world and they're on their own without their mothers for the first time. It's up to Bear Whisperer Steve Searles to teach these clueless young bears how to stay out of trouble until it's time to return to their dens for winter hibernation. Steve's got his hands full.
