Gong Shim, a cash-strapped student living in the shadow of her older sister rents her room out to Ahn Dan Tae, a smug attorney. Not fond of each other, their paths cross when they realize they need each other.

After Gong Shim gives up on the lawsuit, Ahn Dan Tae continues his investigation on his own. Despite selling out her sister, Gong Mi's attempts to move up in the firm don't go as planned.

After a rocky first day at work, Gong Shim is tasked with learning everything she can about Ahn Dan Tae. She attempts to get him drunk, but ends up spilling her secrets to him.

It's Dan Tae's turn to get drunk and embarrass himself. Gong Shim overhears that Joon Soo might be pitying her, just as Gong Mi slips into his favor. Grandma gets some mysterious mail.

Dan Tae's attempts to cheer up Gong Shim end up annoying her. Gong Mi goes through a professional and personal downward spiral. After learning the circumstances of the disappearance, Dan Tae joins the search for the Chairwoman's grandson.

Dan Tae tries to elbow his way in between Gong Shim and Joon Soon, going as far as to fake an injury to earn sympathy. But when an accident occurs, Gong Shim makes her choice.
