Sam has a difficult time trying to convince her children to listen to her; a stranger in a restaurant flirts with Sam's daughter; Sam tries to comfort Max when she is overwhelmed by her sudden realization that she will be a legal adult soon.

After Sam talks to her best friend about her ailing marriage, she finds her husband's profile on an online dating app and decides to put an end to her marriage; Sam goes to see her mother after her house alarm is set off.
