Bollywood Hero

Cast as Klaptar the Space Goat - yet another over-the-top character - Chris demands his agent find him a more substantial role. But his pleas fall on deaf ears. A chance encounter with Indian film director Monty Kapoor leads to an offer to star in a Bollywood film, so Chris makes a public denouncement of Hollywood and jets off to Mumbai. Once there he meets his co-stars, India's biggest starlet Lalima Lakhani who will be playing his love interest, and British ex-pat Reg Hunt, who will be playing his father. He also meets the film’s producer Priya Kapoor, who is Monty’s older sister. Priya doesn’t see Chris as a leading man any more than his agent did. To make matters worse, Chris’ friend Maya Rudolph tells him that while she was picking up the mail at his house, she discovered Chris’ dad, Kip, staying there and getting into all kinds of trouble. Chris gets into trouble of his own as he learns to make his way through Mumbai.

Having broken Priyaʼs trust in him, Chris has no choice but to bury himself in the work of making Peculiar Dancing Boy. Meanwhile Monty struggles to direct the film – something he does so poorly that the cast and crew are deeply discouraged. Chris also has his work cut out for him playing a role so different from the comedy he is accustomed to. In the end the film does not turn out the way anyone planned, least of all Chris. When Chris learns that Priya and Monty have turned the film into a comedy, he threatens to go home to Los Angeles. But when Priya takes Chris to see the film, Chris realizes heʼs become the leading man he always wanted to be, and heʼs won the love of the girl he adores – Priya.
