The summer before the final year at college, Frances and her best friend Bobbi meet an impressive couple – Melissa and Nick.

At Melissa’s birthday party, Frances finds herself alone with Nick. They can’t resist the attraction between them and kiss.

When Melissa’s away, Frances and Nick meet to discuss the kiss. The attraction deepens and they begin a complicated affair.

Frances and Bobbi join Melissa and Nick on holiday in Croatia. Having not seen Nick in a while, Frances is nervous.

As Frances and Nick grow close things become strained with Bobbi. A visit from Melissa’s agent raises tensions.

Back home, things are tense with Bobbi. Frances visits her mother but a bout of terrible pain sends her to the hospital.
