Sophie Cross

Sophie's first case as a detective for the local police is a dead body found in the car trunk of a small-time drug dealer. Only Sophie believes the dealer is innocent.

The murder of the prime suspect leads to fears that more killings are to come. While working the case, Sophie makes time to keep searching for her son, Arthur.

A teacher is found dead in the school parking lot after a fight with the father of one of his students. Sophie gets a disturbing anonymous email: "Are you still looking?"

The girlfriend of the dead teacher tries to commit suicide after leaving a note admitting to his killing. Sophie traces the email she received to a convicted pedophile.

A private detective is shot dead with a weapon used previously in a 5-year-old case. Thomas discovers where his son spent some time after his abduction.

When it emerges that her boss falsified a testimony in the cold case, Sophie must prove he did not help convict the wrong man. The team close in on possible abductors.
